About Priscilla:
Priscilla is running for the Commack School Board because she believes in providing all children with a high-quality education in a safe, welcoming environment—without increasing the budget. As a native Long Islander, she chose to make Commack her home because of its top-rated schools, strong community, and vibrant local spaces like its parks, library, and businesses—all qualities she believes are worth preserving and which make a town strong.
Priscilla is a dedicated parent, former educator, and a volunteer counselor for the Crisis Text Line. She is a passionate advocate for the subject of Mental Health, and equal opportunity for all. She currently serves as the President of Zonta of Suffolk and the Treasurer of Suffolk NOW, positions which have granted her unique insight into crafting good policy and coordination to serve a community.
As a mother, Priscilla understands the evolving needs of Commack's families and will advocate for educators’ ability to teach a well-rounded curriculum, while also advocating for responsible measures to protect students from gun violence. Priscilla is running for school board because she knows that all voices matter and deserve representation in leadership. She is ready to bring her insight, energy, and advocacy experience to the table to ensure Commack’s schools remain strong, inclusive, and well equipped to prepare our children for the future.
